What we are up to

TICKTON WI “EXTRAS”

Each month, Tickton WI organises for members to come along to a coffee morning at various local venues.  This is arranged for midway between monthly meetings so that members do not have to wait a month for the chance to meet up with one another.

A Knit ‘n’ Natter group meets in the afternoon of the third Wednesday of each month at our ex-President’s home in Tickton.  We knit charitable items such as hats for premature babies (many hundreds so far), comforter hearts for the bereaved, twiddle muffs for dementia sufferers, trauma dolls, and anything of that kind.  We also discuss village life, share information and generally socialise over tea and biscuits.

Theatre visits are popular and these are organised whenever members are interested in attending, including live streamings at the local cinema, musical events and exhibitions.

A Book Group meets to discuss literary works of all genres, to give members the opportunity to diversify their reading and branch out into unfamiliar territory.

Of course, we usually have a Seasonal Lunch at a local hostelry around Christmas time, as well as our own Christmas festivities at the December meeting, and there’s always the carol singing at the church in Tickton too to round off the year.
