Welcome to the East Yorkshire Federation of Women's Institutes. Now that you've found us we look forward to meeting you.

We are a young Federation, formed in 1983, when the WIs in Yorkshire were divided into smaller more manageable areas. Our WIs are located in mainly rural areas stretching from Bridlington down the coast to Withernsea, and across on the M62 corridor to Snaith. However, we were delighted that 2012 saw the    opening of two WIs in Hull, and we welcomed WI members from the City. Every WI is different, but all of them will offer you fun, friendship, and the opportunity to learn or develop skills and interests, both traditional and new.

Meetings involve listening to a speaker, watching a demonstration, chatting to other members over refreshments, or going on a social/educational visit. Whether you be crafty, sporty or "campaigny", there are lots of interesting activities in which you can take part.

Remember, if you cannot find a WI that is the right time and place for you, perhaps you and your friends could help us form a new one.
