Suzanne Millar
Vice Chairman, Federation Web Editor/Resolutions Adviser
Suzanne is currently a member of East Yorkshire Roses VWI, and a dual member at Leven WI. One of her roles now is to edit the East Yorkshire pages of the NFWI website, and administrate the federation social media accounts. Since 2018 she has been an adviser and has recently taken on the role of resolutions adviser. She introduced the federation generic email system, using Microsoft 365, and gives support and guidance to WIs on using this. She has been a member of the board of trustees since 2012 and in 2024 was voted to be one of the Vice Chairmen.
She first joined the WI in Northamptonshire on the birth of her first child (in 1984!) and has been a member ever since. She has undertaken the roles of president, and secretary, but not treasurer, and has in the past served on the former Federation Combined Arts Committee (now the Culture, Craft & Leisure Team).
Before retirement, Suzanne was a teacher of modern foreign languages, most recently in a sixth form college in Hull, and enjoys visiting her house in the south of France when she can. As well as travel, she enjoys reading and most crafts, but cannot get any scones to rise!
