Ann Mitchell

Ann was prompted to join the WI in 2012 when she realised that her mother's social life with the WI was far better than her own!  She thoroughly enjoys socialising with so many diverse and inspiring women and acquiring new skills along the way.  Currently a member of Sewerby WI, Ann served on their Committee for several years and is now their President. In 2019 she trained to become a WI Adviser and currently sits on the Membership Advisory Committee as well as the Public Affairs Committee.

After a busy career, firstly underwriting with Lloyd's of London and latterly in the education sector focusing on children with additional needs, Ann now likes nothing more than to be outside in the fresh air either walking or beachcombing along the East Yorkshire coastline. However, during the more inclement weather she can be found indoors happily baking or crafting.
